I'm Liz and I was a semi-finalist on BBC The Great British Sewing Bee 2020 Got some larger scraps of cotton lycra leftover from a bigger project that you want to scrapbust Sewing knickers/pants/....panties, (buhhhh i hate that word) is a great way to stashbust scraps of fabric. But wait! Don't have any knicker elastic Doesn't matter. As long as your fabric has some elastane (aka lycra or spandex) content you can make undies to your heart's content. All you need is either a sewing machine with a zig zag stitch, or if you're feeling fancy, a coverstitch machine. You can trace your own pattern from a favourite pair of pants that fit you well.
